Not Bottega Veneta but.....

I wanted a nice pair of boots that could be worn to work and still look professional with more of a riding look than pirate or elf.



My heart was set on the fantastic Bottega Veneta riding boots Gwyneth Paltrow gets to wear as a part of her "uniform"[...] but paying $1100 was just...fantasyland.



So these little boots are the stand-in and they try hard. Not the best leather true. Wipe them down with some KIWI Express Shine and the leather looks a bit more expensive.



Excellent fit and comfort though. I wear them without socks and they're so comfy I wish I could wear them everyday. (Note to self: buy more dresses for these boots so I can wear them everyday). No ugly zipper either.



Probably the best feature besides comfort is the height. These boots reach nearly to the knee instead of stopping mid-calf like so many others and making the leg look stumpy. These are much more flattering and lengthen the silhouette.



I do wish they came in a heavier leather (they'd be absolutely perfect then) but for 100 bucks they work and quite nicely at that.More detail ...

I love these!!!

The moment I received these boots I was in love... They are a perfect dark Grey and go with everything. They run true to size and fit around the calf perfectly. A tight skinny jean is the way to go if you want to wear them over jeans. I doubt they will fit with a boot cut jean. Another great thing about these boots are that you can wear them snapped up or down. Personally I really like that you can change it up....:)

LOVE THESE BOOTS!

I will admit to being a bit skeptical about purchasing shoes over the internet. I am a visual person :) so I always like to know how something is going to look on me before buying. ( I hate having to deal with returning/shipping items as well)

I had checked out some department stores and some other shops at the mall. I did go to Steve Madden at the mall and I saw these boots and wanted to try them on but sadly they did not have my size. They were exactly what I was on the hunt for. :)A simple classy and stylish boot that would not kill my feet if I were to wear them all day. :) So imagine my heartbreak when yet again my long size 10 feet were turned away. ;)



I decided to try Amazon since I had some luck in the past finding items on here though shoe wear was never something I thought I'd buy on this site.......well I am so glad I did because not only was my size available I got them for $15.00 cheaper!! Even better! (Free shipping too!:)



These boots are heaven to my feet. :) I love the length (I have longer legs so I was worried where these would exactly fall on me they fall just below my knee) I like the slight "positioned" slouch they have to them. These boots do not "pull down" when you walk in them they stay put. With my previous pair of knee length boots I was always having to pull them up as they would "fall" after a bit. These don't do that.

They are very comfortable to walk and be in. They are simple yet so stylish! I like the flat heel it really makes for a comfortable fit. I have some high heeled boots but after so long your feet start screaming for a break. :) You'll wear these all day without any tears. :)



I also recommend getting a suede protector spray I got these in black and with most suede boots it will pick up dirt....you're going to want protect these lovely boots for as long as you can! :)More detail ...

Good Product

I rarely write reviews but when I was researching this product (actualy the BearPaw 410 10" Eva Boots identical to these minus the extra two inches) the reviews are what helped me make my decision. I thought I'd give others an extra insight and perspective.



I was actually planning to buy the 10" boots but saw that the 12" boots were the exact same price. So I thought hey.. I'll get more bang for my buck (in this case 2 inches!) and bought the 12" instead.



First I want to comment on the sizing. I followed Amazon's general shoe size chart for women's and even measured one of my shoes that fit me perfectly. My shoe sizes sometimes vary but I busted out a ruler to be exact. I was a size 9 according to the chart. The shoes I was measuring from was also a 9. BearPaw and many reviewers suggested getting one size up from your regular show size so I ordered a size 10. In my case that didn't work well for me.



Overall these boots are great material and quality. I really don't have any bad things to say about them. They're extremely comfy... they feel like house slippers and are way cheaper than Uggs! So the only issue I have with them is more of a personal issue.



You see I've got big calves. They aren't fat... but really solid... full of muscle. Whenever I try to do cardio the only area that seems to get toned is my calves. Such a curse. (BTW I measure at 17" all the way around my mid-calf). Anyhow these boots were very tight at the edge. It was like a really tight rubberband around my calf an I'd normally deal with stuff like that but it was very uncomfortable. On the other hand the shoes were too big for my feet by at least an inch to an inch and a half.



It's kind of awkward to wear but I think I'll deal with these issues. I can always wear thicker socks so it's better slightly too big than slightly too small. I'm actually folding down the extra "2 inches" which makes the boots less uncomfortable but I'm hoping that the material will stretch over time to accomodate my enlarged calf and possible my jeans. It's also too tight to squeeze jeans into.



If the boot fit perfectly I'd totally give it 5 stars. It may be a little unfair to dock it a star since everyone's shoe size and calf size can vary widely but I think the company should offer boots with an extended calf (most other brands do for boots). This way girls with big calves or girls who want to tuck in their jeans (or both!) have the room to do so.More detail ...

This boot is exactly what I was looking for in a leather over-the-knee boot. If I wear it with the top folded down there isn't any sagging as may happen with a suede version. The side snaps are not only decorative but also keep the boot in place. The shaft allows room for both leggings and skinny jeans. Ok but not worth the price.

I ordered these in black leather (or patent as they seemed to be incorrectly labeled at certain sites). I'm keeping them. They fit pretty well. They look like they did in the picture. But they seem to be cheaply made. The leather is very thin and slouchy which would be fine but this is not a slouchy boot look. It's so thin that the little leather buckle pulls are curled up from shipping. Hopefully they'll flatten out.



The only reason I'm keeping them is because I got them for under $100 thank goodness and they look cute with jeans over them. Some boots I've bought look like clown shoes if the jeans are not tucked in. These manage to have a nice toe and wedge shape all on their own. Also I should note that they are not very high. Incredible deal!

I've been looking for reasonably priced boots that aren't cheap looking. These are an amazing deal and great quality! They look amazing in person I got the medium brown and it's a great neutral that will go with all colors perfectly. The bottom of the boots defintely are slick but I think after scuffing them up they'll be ok. As far as the running large review ignore it. I read that about this style on several sites and ordered a half size smaller and ended up having to exchange for my real size. I'm usually a big fan of Madden's shoes- this pair however caught me off guard. It's a bit snug in the foot and ankle area (I am a very slender 6.5 I purchased a 7 because I wear thicker socks in the winter). When I walked on them they felt a little awkward almost like I was going to slip the soles of the shoes feel kind of like hard plastic. I'm going to get shoe horns and stretch them out hopefully that will help. Also from the look of them online I was hoping I could wear them over a pair of skinny jeans. Absolutely no room. I have chicken legs and I couldn't get a pair of jeans inside these boots. Definitely not the boots to get if you're going for that look. These boots are trash. They are so poorly and cheaply made. The sole is so thin that after I wore them twice the heel had worn down to half it's size. A month and a half later the back part of the heel is completely gone and it has created a hole in the leather above where the heel should be. I wore them in a storm yesterday and my feet got completely soaking wet. I am shocked I have never had this experience with any pair of shoes especially ones I spent 100 dollars on. It's OK

I was so excited when these boots were available for such a bargain at Amazon. After opening the box and trying on the boots I was really disappointed by how small they were. I'm usually between an 8 1/2 - 9 so I ordered the size 9 thinking I'd wear them with thick socks. These boots seemed like they were at least 1 size smaller. Overall the quality was OK. They aren't worth their regular price of $188. The leather is not the best but I guess that's what you get for $60! I returned the boots but will buy the larger size. They did look pretty good once I had them on. Also for you ladies that don't have super skinny legs the calves run a bit small. Fun and funky

I've had my boots for about a month now. Overall I really like them. Appearance-wise they are distinct from a lot of other boots I see out there. I liked the shiny metallic fabric on the inside of the boot. They are very light-weight almost like wearing socks on the bottom so I wouldn't suggest wearing them for a lot of walking nor through wet patches as the water will seep through. They are an unusual shade of gray--almost tan intermingled with the gray. I do not particularly care for the tassles/fringe or whatever you wish to call them on the back. The first time I wore these boots those two tassles acted like whips slinging around from side to side when I walked anywhere. Great but Inconsistent

I actually bought these boots from another website and returned them once I saw they were on sale on Amazon. My heel kept slipping out of the back of the boots when I tried the 1st pair on. They were also a little tight on the calf. I liked them so much that I didn't think much about it and returned them so I could order the Amazon ones.



But when I got the 2nd pair from Amazon there was no slippy heel they fit perfect and are very comfortable. It's almost like a completely different shoe. I noticed that they get mixed reviews (unlike the SM Bonanza boots) and I think it might just be the manufacturer's inconsistency. Great Boots

I got these boots for my girlfriend for Christmas. I think they're adorable the ribbon in the back distinguishes these from other boots.



However I had to return them because her calves were too large for them. I was hoping the ribbon in the back would allow for more adjustment but it didn't provide near enough. But since that's just the design of the boot I'm not going to give it a bad rating. Once again this boot is NOT for wide calves.

Nice fashionable

These boots are very cute. I bought these in purple and I was worried but it's a great color not too muted but not loud either. I like that they aren't 100% flat but they are still easy to walk in (the heel is less than an inch maybe 1/2"). The suede is good quality and the buckle on top is helpful with keeping the boots up. You can have the top of the boots either folded down or pulled up for different looks.



I have medium calves and although I have found boots that just wouldn't go on before it's not usually an issue. These boots are pretty wide on my leg which I like because I cam wear jeans or leg warmers easier. They would be good for someone with larger calves but because of the top buckles they are good for smaller calves too. Aside from that the boots seem true to size. I ordered size 9 and they fit me as expected.



One thing negative is that you must beware when you're wearing them. There is a support inside each boot that is really firm and sharp. My ankles land right on it if I step one way and it always gives me blisters even on just a short walk. I usually like wearing short tennis socks but not with these boots! I have to wear tall socks to protect my ankles from blistering. This is the design not something that goes away from breaking them in.



I ordered these direct from amazon. There is a flaw in the suede but it's not noticeable and won't get worse so I didn't want to hassle a return/exchange. You may want to inspect them before wearing them around town.



These boots aren't particularly warm and don't have a lot of traction on the bottom. If you are looking for something for cold weather they'll do ok because there's room to add layers and socks but if it's below freezing and you're in snow and ice these would not be not my top choice.More detail ...
