Not Bottega Veneta but.....

I wanted a nice pair of boots that could be worn to work and still look professional with more of a riding look than pirate or elf.



My heart was set on the fantastic Bottega Veneta riding boots Gwyneth Paltrow gets to wear as a part of her "uniform"[...] but paying $1100 was just...fantasyland.



So these little boots are the stand-in and they try hard. Not the best leather true. Wipe them down with some KIWI Express Shine and the leather looks a bit more expensive.



Excellent fit and comfort though. I wear them without socks and they're so comfy I wish I could wear them everyday. (Note to self: buy more dresses for these boots so I can wear them everyday). No ugly zipper either.



Probably the best feature besides comfort is the height. These boots reach nearly to the knee instead of stopping mid-calf like so many others and making the leg look stumpy. These are much more flattering and lengthen the silhouette.



I do wish they came in a heavier leather (they'd be absolutely perfect then) but for 100 bucks they work and quite nicely at that.More detail ...

I love these!!!

The moment I received these boots I was in love... They are a perfect dark Grey and go with everything. They run true to size and fit around the calf perfectly. A tight skinny jean is the way to go if you want to wear them over jeans. I doubt they will fit with a boot cut jean. Another great thing about these boots are that you can wear them snapped up or down. Personally I really like that you can change it up....:)

LOVE THESE BOOTS!

I will admit to being a bit skeptical about purchasing shoes over the internet. I am a visual person :) so I always like to know how something is going to look on me before buying. ( I hate having to deal with returning/shipping items as well)

I had checked out some department stores and some other shops at the mall. I did go to Steve Madden at the mall and I saw these boots and wanted to try them on but sadly they did not have my size. They were exactly what I was on the hunt for. :)A simple classy and stylish boot that would not kill my feet if I were to wear them all day. :) So imagine my heartbreak when yet again my long size 10 feet were turned away. ;)



I decided to try Amazon since I had some luck in the past finding items on here though shoe wear was never something I thought I'd buy on this site.......well I am so glad I did because not only was my size available I got them for $15.00 cheaper!! Even better! (Free shipping too!:)



These boots are heaven to my feet. :) I love the length (I have longer legs so I was worried where these would exactly fall on me they fall just below my knee) I like the slight "positioned" slouch they have to them. These boots do not "pull down" when you walk in them they stay put. With my previous pair of knee length boots I was always having to pull them up as they would "fall" after a bit. These don't do that.

They are very comfortable to walk and be in. They are simple yet so stylish! I like the flat heel it really makes for a comfortable fit. I have some high heeled boots but after so long your feet start screaming for a break. :) You'll wear these all day without any tears. :)



I also recommend getting a suede protector spray I got these in black and with most suede boots it will pick up dirt....you're going to want protect these lovely boots for as long as you can! :)More detail ...

Good Product

I rarely write reviews but when I was researching this product (actualy the BearPaw 410 10" Eva Boots identical to these minus the extra two inches) the reviews are what helped me make my decision. I thought I'd give others an extra insight and perspective.



I was actually planning to buy the 10" boots but saw that the 12" boots were the exact same price. So I thought hey.. I'll get more bang for my buck (in this case 2 inches!) and bought the 12" instead.



First I want to comment on the sizing. I followed Amazon's general shoe size chart for women's and even measured one of my shoes that fit me perfectly. My shoe sizes sometimes vary but I busted out a ruler to be exact. I was a size 9 according to the chart. The shoes I was measuring from was also a 9. BearPaw and many reviewers suggested getting one size up from your regular show size so I ordered a size 10. In my case that didn't work well for me.



Overall these boots are great material and quality. I really don't have any bad things to say about them. They're extremely comfy... they feel like house slippers and are way cheaper than Uggs! So the only issue I have with them is more of a personal issue.



You see I've got big calves. They aren't fat... but really solid... full of muscle. Whenever I try to do cardio the only area that seems to get toned is my calves. Such a curse. (BTW I measure at 17" all the way around my mid-calf). Anyhow these boots were very tight at the edge. It was like a really tight rubberband around my calf an I'd normally deal with stuff like that but it was very uncomfortable. On the other hand the shoes were too big for my feet by at least an inch to an inch and a half.



It's kind of awkward to wear but I think I'll deal with these issues. I can always wear thicker socks so it's better slightly too big than slightly too small. I'm actually folding down the extra "2 inches" which makes the boots less uncomfortable but I'm hoping that the material will stretch over time to accomodate my enlarged calf and possible my jeans. It's also too tight to squeeze jeans into.



If the boot fit perfectly I'd totally give it 5 stars. It may be a little unfair to dock it a star since everyone's shoe size and calf size can vary widely but I think the company should offer boots with an extended calf (most other brands do for boots). This way girls with big calves or girls who want to tuck in their jeans (or both!) have the room to do so.More detail ...

Great Boots!

This boot is exactly what I was looking for in a leather over-the-knee boot. If I wear it with the top folded down there isn't any sagging as may happen with a suede version. The side snaps are not only decorative but also keep the boot in place. The shaft allows room for both leggings and skinny jeans.
